A mother kills her daughter!

An Indian-origin paediatrician has been arrested for allegedly killing her four-year-old daughter and then staging a drowning to cover up the crime in Miami. She was divorced and did not like the custody of the child to be shared with her ex-husband. (Hindustan Times, 3 July 2025)
Irony: A Paediatrician is mandated in society to take care of children who are not well. If she cannot show love, regard, and respect for life, for her own daughter, how can she serve other children?
Natural love: It is natural universally for a mother to love her child. However, in the last days, natural love could vanish among people. Paul warns that in the Last Days, people would be lovers of self, arrogant, abusive, unappeasable, brutal, and treacherous. (II Timothy 3:1-5)
Hatred: A husband and wife come together to receive a child as a gift, as a seal of their covenant of marriage. However, for a few couples, this love is short-lived as one spouse dominates, dictates, and disregards the other. Sadly, the pendulum moves away from love towards hatred. This medical professional hated her husband so much that she was unable to harm him, so she killed their daughter. The innocent girl becomes the victim of the rage and revenge of a stupid woman.
Brutality: As a paediatrician, she was expected to be kind-hearted towards children. With a thorough knowledge that the child would die of asphyxiation, she killed her by smothering her. Later, she wanted to make it a case of an accident; she drowned her.
God’s promise: A mother could forget to be loving, kind, and tender. She could not seek the welfare of her child. The sinful nature could be manifested in ruthlessness and brutality towards a child. Though uncommon, there is a possibility, as all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15)
Do I realize God cares for me more than my mother could?
