A Profile of a Righteous Person

The profile of a blessed, righteous person who fears the Lord is amazing. That person reflects God’s character, as the moon reflects the sun’s light. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Light of the World, and has called His children to be the light of the world. (John 8:12; Matthew 5:14)
God-fearing: Righteous people are those who fear God, as it is the beginning or source of all wisdom, and also hate evil. (Proverbs 9:10: Psalms 112: 1)
Delights in the Bible: A blessed person loves the Lord, hence meditates on the Scripture, and becomes righteous by delightfully and diligently obeying His Commandments. (Psalm 1:1-3; 112:1)
The family: The righteous person’s children are mighty and are upright. (Psalm 112:2)
Wealthy: A God-fearing person will gain with godliness and contentment. Of course, they are rich in faith. (Psalm 112:3; James 2:5)
Loving and Merciful: The righteous person is also merciful, gracious, full of compassion, a solace for the deprived and rejected. (Psalms 112:4)
Helping Hand: Such a person deals graciously and lends to those who are in need. (Psalm 112:5)
Discernment: A righteous person is wise with discernment. His value system is the righteousness of God. (Psalm 112:5; Matthew 6:33))
Strong: The Blessed person is bold and strong and is unafraid of bad or evil news. (Psalm 112:7)
Generous: Righteous people exemplify generosity; they disperse abundantly, even sacrificially. (Psalm 112:9)
Power for good: Such people’s horns are exalted, but to do good and righteous deeds. (Psalm 112:9)
Hated: However, the wicked people are envious and hate the righteous people as Cain hated the righteous Abel. (Psalm 112:10)
Not moved: The righteous person will not be moved, as they belong to the unshakeable Kingdom. (Psalm 112: 6; Hebrews 12:28) That person’s righteousness endures forever. (Psalm 112:3)
Remembered: Godly righteous people will be remembered by people, sometimes forgotten also, nevertheless, God remembers them and rewards them. (Psalm 112:6)
Conquerors: The righteous person has the ultimate victory; believers are more than conquerors in Christ. (Psalm 112:8)
