A visit of excitement

A few women were studying a Bible passage in a village. They were not well-educated, but they tried to understand the truth and live accordingly. The visit of the Lord Jesus Christ to the home of Mary and Martha excited them. (Luke 10:38-42) Here are some treasures they could dig out.
Village visit: The important people in authority, power, prestige, and popularity tend to avoid visiting villages. However, the Lord was different; he chose to visit the village of Bethany.
Invited to the home: Obviously, there were a few houses in Bethany. Martha took the initiative to invite and welcome the Lord to their home. He gladly came to their home. The Lord knocks at the door; whoever listens, opens the door, and the Triune God will indwell in that person. (Revelation 3:20)
Listening and Learning: Mary took advantage of the situation. She sat at His feet in submission. The Lord was gracious to teach just one person, Mary. Intentionally, Mary listened and learnt the truth from the Lord of Truth. Martha chose not to sit and listen, instead being busy with the logistics of hospitality.
Busy in hospitality: As a pragmatic woman, Martha knew that food should be ready, and a resting place for the night should be arranged for the Lord and the twelve disciples. That was a lot of work. She was overwhelmed with the task. She complained and requested the Lord to send Mary to help her.
Love of the Lord: Since the Lord loved Martha, she called her twice with a loving tone. The Lord taught her the importance of choices and priorities. Martha did not sin, but was not able to make appropriate decisions.
Best and good: There is a proverb: Good is the enemy of the best. It was good to be busy for the Lord, but it is best to sit at His feet and learn.
Choices: Martha’s choices were focused on the present, while Mary’s were eternal choices that would not be snatched away from her.
Do I choose the best with Kingdom priority and eternal perspective?
