The Punjab and Haryana High Court noted, ‘Whichever religion it may be, the worshipped gods were born as humans… the journey from ‘Nar to Narayan’ is not only embedded in the ethos of India but is also true to religions born outside India.’ (Indian Express, 14 August 2024) Strangely, in many cultures, people believe that after a person dies, becomes a god or goddess. Interestingly, Satan also gave a false promise to Adam and Eve to raise their status to become gods. (Genesis 3:4-6) Satan has not stopped repeating this lie for generations.
Self-existing God: When God spoke with Moses from the Burning Bush, God revealed Himself as I AM, THAT I AM. (Exodus 3:7-8) God was neither created nor was born. He exists always and does not come under the paradigm of space and time.
Eternal God: God neither begins to exist nor ceases to exist. (Deuteronomy 33:27) He is the eternal King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Creator God: God is the creator of all things seen and not seen. The Bible teaches that God created everything out of nothing. He does not need any raw material to create the universe, all visible and invisible things. (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 40:28)
Holy God: In many cultures, god is considered more powerful than humans, and they are involved in all immoral, illegitimate, and impure activities. Because sinful humans can create gods who are worse sinners like them. Their status as gods gives them liberty to do and behave breaking all natural, moral laws. The Bible teaches God as holy, perfect, and pure. (Isaiah 6:1-5; Revelation 4:8; Psalms 18:30)
Redeemer God: God intervened in human history by sending His Son the Lord Jesus Christ into this world, to shed blood as the Lamb of God, buried, rose again from the dead, and ascended to heaven. Those who believe in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Righteous Judge: God will judge every human born in this world as the Eternal Judge. (Psalms 7:11)
Do I know and worship the True God?
