And the Stars

The beautiful nursery rhyme teaches us to wonder and praise God for the beautiful creation.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,
How I wonder you are,
Up above the sky so high,
Like a Diamond in the sky.
God on the fourth day created the sun and moon to rule the day and night respectively. Also, be a sign in the sky and mark the season. And the verse includes: ‘and the stars.’ (Genesis 1:16) With millions of scientists and thousands of telescopes, many research centers are unable to comprehend the phrase: ‘and the stars.’
Countless stars: God created the stars, and they are countless. God promised Abraham that his descendants would be countless like the stars. (Genesis 15:5) Astronomers tried to count the stars. Brahe said it was 777, Kepler, 1005, Hipparchus 1022, Ptolemy 1056, then scientists including Galileo concluded that the stars could not be numbered. With the naked eye, it is possible to see about 6000 stars. However, God knows the number of stars and calls them by name (not number). (Psalms 147:4)
Sign and direction: As God created stars as a sign, some stars function as signs to get direction for travel or voyage. There are about fifty-seven navigational stars that provide direction for ships in the oceans, and caravans in the desert.
Astrology and stars: Some people foretell the future by the position of stars. They are powerless before God, and it is hopeless to trust them. (Isaiah 47:13)
Wandering stars: Comets are appearing and disappearing kind of stars. Certain Christian leaders astonish the people for a time and disappear into darkness. (Jude 1:13) Unpredictable and unstable stars are not good for guidance or navigation. Ministers who are not true to the Scripture are deceivers, useless, not trustworthy, and would lead others into darkness.
Stars of righteousness: The wise will shine like the stars. (Daniel 12:3) The wise are those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and are declared as the righteous by faith. They could be guides, and lead people from spiritual darkness to light.
Do I worship the creator Lord, who is awesome and wonderful?
