Swiggy is a food service provider. Their Apps could send numerous messages, to provoke you to be hungry and they can provide you to eat, so that they could earn a good profit.
Adam and Eve: They were neither desperately hungry like Esau nor fed up with monotonous food like Israelite. The promise of becoming like God was irresistible. Just eating, that too without any hard work was an easy option. The fruit indeed looked good, perhaps smelled good, then no harm in trying. Sadly, they trusted the Promise of a Liar and chose to disobey the Creator God of love and truth.
Esau: His hunger or craving for food was greater than his inheritance, family blessings, covenant blessings, and leadership call. This craving made him so foolish that one meal was more valuable than multiple blessings throughout this life as well as in eternity.
Israel: Manna was the food of angels. (Psalms 78:15) However Israelite found Manna as a boring food. They craved for non-vegetarian food remembering their days in Egypt as slaves. (Numbers 11:4)
Lord Jesus Christ: Lord Jesus Christ refused to eat at least twice. He taught the Word of God and the Will of God are more important than perishing food.
Word of God: After forty days of fasting, Lord Jesus was hungry in the wilderness. Satan, to tempt the Lord, gave an interesting suggestion. As the Son of God, the Lord could change stones miraculously into bread and eat. “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)
Will of God: The disciples urged Lord Jesus Christ to eat after the Lord’s conversation with the Samaritan woman. Lord said that he had food that ‘they do not know about.’ Lord Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.” (John 4: 31-34)
Right hunger: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6)
Am I hungry or satisfied in studying His Word and Doing His will?
