Blind followers?

One motorist jumped the traffic signal while it was Red. Taking advantage, another five motorists behind him followed and jumped the signal. The alert traffic cops could not stop the first one, but stopped the rest, and collected hefty amounts as fines. One of them, enraged, shouted: “Why did you let go of the first and charge us only. The police said, “He is our Marketing Executive. His job is to jump signals to tempt other guys, so that we can collect enough to fulfill our target.” Sadly, many more who follow the shrewd ‘marketing executive’ fall into his trap.
Blind Leaders: The Lord Jesus Christ warned about the blind leaders. Blind people following the blind leaders is dangerous, as all will fall into the pit. (Matthew 15:14) A blind leader could be a snare purposefully planted by Satan to mislead people into misery and death. Yet, millions are following the leaders who themselves are clueless of the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6)
Blind followers: The blind followers have the responsibility to make sure that their leaders can see, guide, communicate, and take them to the destination. Without ascertaining the credibility, it is foolish to follow anyone. A student will try to ascertain the institution where he plans to study, get information about its recognition, caliber of teachers, etc. In the spiritual journey, it is essential to make sure that we do not follow wrong, misleading, and evil leaders.
Crowd followers: Many people follow the crowd. If the majority of people believe in something, it should be true. When the mob shouted and gheraoed Pontius Pilate to crucify the Lord, they were not right. The majority need not be right. The might is right is also a wrong concept.
Mesmerized followers: A deluded man, who is fatally attracted to a woman, goes unconscious of his fate, dreaming of delight, fun, and pleasure; he is compared to an ox taken for slaughter. (Proverbs 7:22) Followers of anti-Christ, false teachers, false prophets, and false messiahs are like oxen taken for slaughter.
Do I follow the Lord of Life, the Son of God?
