Brain rot

Oxford University Press defines ‘brain rot’ as ‘the supposed deterioration of a person’s mental or intellectual state, especially viewed as the result of overconsumption of material (now particularly online content) considered to be trivial or unchallenging.

Blinded mind:
Satan has blinded the minds of people so that they cannot see the glory of the Lord or understand the glorious gospel. (II Corinthians 4:4) A person could be intellectual, but the capacity of the mind to understand God or truth is bolted or blinded by Satan. The sown seeds of the Word or like seeds that fell on the wayside, like birds snatching them away, Satan snatches the Word, before they could receive, perceive, and understand. (Matthew 13:4)

Rotten mind:
In modern times, the mind becomes rotten because of unceasing exposure to non-profitable, non-edifying, non-essential messages on social media. They are trivia, have no benefit for anyone, and do not challenge an individual to think, analyze, critically think, and act. They become like zombies, without the passion to live and be productive.

Wicked mind:
Any man looking at a woman with evil intentions, has already committed adultery with her. (Matthew 5:28) This verse condemns those who watch pornography. With selfish thoughts, people with wicked minds conspire, plot, and plan to do evil to others.

Idle mind:
There is a saying: An Idle Mind is a Devil’s workshop. When a person is lazy, evil thoughts can enter the mind. Such evil thoughts are dangerous. If a person is not busy engaging in productive activities would sink into depression or pessimistic thoughts. Even suicidal thoughts encroach such minds.

Renewed mind:
The Bible teaches to have a renewed mind, that transforms a person. (Romans 12:2) Rotten, blinded, and dead mind could be renewed only by the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Reading and meditating on the Word of God will make a person like a tree planted beside the streams of water, the leaves are evergreen and give fruit in its season. (Psalms 1:1-3)

Am I a victim of Brain Rot or have a renewed mind?
