The First of April is celebrated as Fools’ Day in many cultures, by cracking jokes and playing pranks. There are many theories about its origin. The Bible defines a fool as one who says in his heart: There is no God. (Psalm 14:1)
God-denial: First, the person is a fool because he denies something plain and evident. Second, Furthermore, he requires a deeper faith to trust in a world governed by purpose and design, for it is a fundamental truth that every effect has a cause and every creation has a creator. Third, a fool likes to live in sin, hence denying God, who is the Moral Authority in the Universe. Fourth, fools have a mistaken notion that only what is proved in a laboratory is true. How can the beginning of the world or humans be proved in a lab? Five, those who do not listen to others, especially those not able to see reason are fools. Arguments do not persuade the fools.
Self-Existing God: Paul writes that God’s almighty power, invisible attributes, and divine nature, are revealed in the creation. (Romans 1:20) First, the cosmological argument: if there is a visible creation, there should be a planner, builder, and sustainer – the creator. Second, the teleological argument: even a minute thing in the universe has evidence of design. The color, design, and texture of each petal of a flower, leaf, insect, reptile, or mammal point to an intelligent artistic creator. Third, the anthropological argument: There should be a relational God, who communicates as humans desire to be relational and communicate with one another. Fourth, the moral argument: The existence of morality, a discernment of what is right and wrong ingrained in human nature points to the righteous God of the universe. Five, the religious argument: In all cultures, there is a desire for worship. So many religions, and so many places of worship are a search for the truth of the creator. Six, there are testimonies of millions of people who had a personal encounter with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do I believe in the creator and savior Jesus Christ?
