Double-minded frustration!

It is a frustration to deal with the double-minded. As they are unpredictable and not dependable. It is like trying to sail on two boats, which is dangerous.
Unstable: Elijah rebuked the people of Israel for being double-minded. (I Kings 18:21) It also means. to falter between two opinions or options. It means to limp, halt, stumble, hop, dance, or leap. They knew Jehovah as the true God but could not deny or distance themselves from other gods. Hence, they were unstable on a shaky foundation.
Unconvinced: The Israelites were not convinced that Jehovah was the true God. They had evidence of God’s dealing with Israel according to the Law of Moses. Their parents and grandparents have shared about the God of generations. The Temple was another important sign of their belief. The existence of the Nation itself was another great testimony of the faithfulness of God. Yet, they disregarded the Lord of Lords and His Law.
Uncertain: When people are unable to choose at the crossroads, uncertainty clouds their minds. Those who reject Christ will await His judgment in the ‘Valley of Decision.’ (Joel 3:14) There could be others uncertain of the importance of making the decision for Christ, who neglect their opportunities. The decision will be made by the Lord for them to be thrown into the Lake of fire along with Satan and fallen angels. (Revelation 20:10)
Uncommitted: In a metaphor, the Nation of Israel is described as the wife of Jehovah. It is a covenant relationship between God and Israel. It cannot be revoked. But by worshipping other gods, Israel committed a spiritual adultery. (Jeremiah 3:6-14) Israel wanted to be the wife but was unwilling to abandon the illicit partnership with false gods like Baal.
Unworthy: Those who are double-minded are unworthy of God’s grace. Only the grateful reception of God’s grace can save a sinner. Without gratefulness, and understanding the truth about God’s goodness, and humility to receive His love, it is impossible to be God’s children. Proud, arrogant, reckless, and mindless people deem themselves unworthy.
Do I have a single-minded devotion to God?
