Father’s heartbeat

She was sick from birth and could sleep only when she was held closely in the arms by her father, and sometimes by her mother. The tiny girl would like to rest her head on the breast of her father. The gentle sound of her father’s heartbeat gave her rest, peace, comfort, and sleep. The touch, embrace, and love of her father helped her to cope with her sickness.
Father’s love: Father showed his love by holding her close to his heart. The Bible teaches that God first loved us; he took the initiative in directing his love towards us. Even though the fallen humans do not deserve His love, only worthy of punishment and judgment, he bestows and showers His love upon His children. Paul asserts that God’s love is long, wise, high, and deep, unfathomable.
Father’s presence: The child needs to be assured of her father’s presence. Likewise, being in the bosom of Father means being filled with His awesome, holy presence. Children enjoy the warmth, love, and comfort in their parents’ presence.
Father’s security: The girl felt secure in the arms of her father. Harm cannot easily reach the child. Likewise, no one can snatch the sheep of His flock from the Father’s hand. (John 10:28) There is no power and no person in heaven or earth to snatch a sheep from the Father. Such attempts are futile and dangerous for those who try to harm a sheep of His flock.
Father’s purpose: The girl in the father’s arm will grow, mature and fulfil the desires and dreams of the father. A child of God resting in the Father’s embrace will know the heartbeat. Robert Pierce, the Founder of World Vision, said, “Let my heart be broken by the things that break the heart of God.” God the Father not only loves His children, but he also expects them to know and learn from Him, his concern, burden, pain, desire, and passion for the world. Each disciple could become an instrument of righteousness used by the Father. (Romans 6:13)
Do I hear and understand the heartbeat and heart desire of God?
