Four kinds of riches

According to sociologists, there are four kinds of riches. All kinds ought to be evaluated, valued, and understood from an eternal perspective.
Possessions: What do you have? People say a person is rich when s/he has lands, buildings, homes, investments, savings, gold, or cash. The more the better the attitude. Mostly gained as inheritance, and some are self-earned. But it is the lowest of all the riches. Yet, the same riches could be used to store treasures in heaven and gain friends who would be in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-20; Luke 16:9) At the same time, the wealth could be used for evil, perpetuate oppression, and destroy others. Some do not use it like the one talented man in the Parable of the Talents.
Profession: What do you do? This includes talents, skills, and abilities that could be of benefit to the society. A medical professional serves the community and is rich with good income, reputation, and a sense of satisfaction. Sadly, for some robbery is their profession, robbing sheep, goats, chickens, burgle houses, or involved in hacking and committing white-collar crimes.
Proficiency: What do you know? Knowledge is another wealth that could be used to bless people. Teachers, professors, trainers, mentors, counselors, pastors, journalists, writers, and authors gain knowledge and dispense knowledge. Some people have knowledge that is not beneficial but destructive. (I Corinthians 8:1) Knowledge without love could be destructive. Certain knowledge could harm a person and destroy him and others like false teachings. Paul warns that the preachers also could peddle the truth. (II Corinthians 2:17)
Personality: What you are? This is the riches of character. First, a person should be righteous before God, by becoming a child of God. (John 1:12) Second, declared as righteous. Third, should be rich in faith. (James 2:5) Fourth, godliness with contentment is a great gain. (I Timothy 6:6) Five should rejoice in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4) Six, lead a life of holiness, honesty, and humility. Seven, have the eternal hope of Heaven, to the with the Lord as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.
