Four Life positions

The phrase I’m OK, You’re OK is one of four “life positions” that each of us may take, according to the author, Thomas Anthony Harris, published in 1967. It gives some insights; however, the Bible teaches that a right relationship with God, a person could have a right relationship with others: spouse, children, parents, friends, relatives, neighbours, and strangers. Loving God with all heart, soul, mind, and strength will help a person to accept themselves, and also love their neighbour as they love themselves. (Matthew 22:37-39)
I’m OK, You’re OK
A person accepts himself and is willing to accept others. They believe in the dignity of human beings, respect others, love others, and are polite to others. Such a person accepts that other people have rights, choices, preferences, desires, values, and goals. Hence, they treat others with dignity, respect, and courtesy. They enjoy healthy, desirable, and pleasant relationships.
I’m OK, You’re Not OK
The person thinks he is better than all, and does not listen to anyone. Have the mentality to dictate, direct, and dominate others. Frequent breakups of communication, arguments, and strife. They are afflicted with a superiority complex, behave arrogantly, and illtreat others.
I’m Not OK, You’re OK (Lack of self-esteem, inferiority complex, dependent)
Those who feel inadequate, ill-equipped, and look at others with envy and bitterness. They are also unable to learn. Hence, they suffer inferiority complexes, low self-esteem, and become dependent on others, and sadly, others could exploit them, emotionally blackmail them, and also abuse.
I’m Not OK, You’re Not OK
They are bitter and angry against themselves and others. Hence, do not care about progress or the future. They lack motivation, interest in communication, poor performance, and demotivate others. Without vision, they are depressed, cynical, keep their distance, and take no initiative.
God transforms
God graciously transforms those who come to him with humility, have faith in him, cooperate with him to shape, are willing to undergo pain, and have zeal to mature in all aspects of life. Christians should create an environment for healthy relationships around them.
Are my relationships healthy, pleasant, and peaceful?
