Goal Focus of Football Player

A successful football player shared this in an interview. His mind, heart, and desire are filled with the idea of scoring a goal. For that, he had trained himself. Christian Life also demands focus, commitment, tenacity, and perseverance.
Mind: In the mind, the soccer player always imagines a play arena and how he is progressing towards that goal. His vision is always taking the ball toward the goalpost and scoring a goal. A Christian mind should be filled with the vision of things that are above and thoughts that are God-honoring. (Colossians 3:1; Philippians 4:8) A renewed proactive mind, a victorious or Overcomers mindset is essential to have a victorious Christian life. Most battles with Satan happen in the mind.
Physical fitness: The soccer player not only trained his mind but also his body. Physical fitness by having healthy food, doing appropriate exercises, and practicing sessions on the field. The body of a believer is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The body must be kept hygienic, healthy, holy, and worthy of God. (I Corinthians 6:19-20) Willful neglect of health is not appropriate for a disciple.
Skill training: He also shared that he could hit directly to the goal from any position in the whole football ground. Irrespective of where he is placed or located, he could kick in such a way that the ball hits the net. For several hours, he has practiced this so that his kick attained perfection. Wherever a disciple is, he is the salt of the earth and light of the world. (Matthew 5:14-16) In all circumstances, a disciple has the priority of the Kingdom and God’s righteousness. (Matthew 6:33)
Perseverance: Those who endure until the end shall be saved. (Matthew 24:13-14) A sportsperson should have the strength and stamina to continue until the time for the game is complete or the race is complete. Leaving the field during the game and stopping during the race are not options. A person could be disqualified or diverted in the last minutes as was Judas Iscariot.
