Five teenagers were indoctrinated to hate Christians. They wanted to desecrate the church, beat up the worshippers and punish the pastor. One midday, four of them climbed to the pinnacle of the church, damaged the cross, and installed a flag. One was recording this and updating it on his social media account, which became a viral video. Initially, they were lauded as heroes; they were soon forgotten, neglected and marginalized. Sadly, within a period of two years, the leader committed suicide, another died in an accident, and the rest died because of various reasons, including disease. Paul warns such miscreants that they will be punished and judged. (Galatians 6:7)
Be not deceived: Humans are deceived by Satan as Eve was. The world seems to be attractive, which draws people away from the truth. Inspired by the powerful people, these hapless youngsters were deceived to death. The teenagers’ cultural pride, physical strength, and unruly emotions were used by powerful people to accomplish their agenda. They were deceived into being portrayed as heroes of faith, defenders of their religion and national legacy. Alas, they had to pay with their lives for their mischief.
God is not mocked: Without fear of God, they climbed up the roof of the church and wanted to break the cross. The symbol or representation of a cross could be broken and damaged. But God knows the intentions of their hearts. They assumed they were powerful, and God of the Bible was powerless and could not punish or judge them. Their haughty, foolish, and ignorant thought was mocking the Sovereign God of heaven and earth.
Sow and reap: Sowing and reaping are natural phenomena as well as spiritual phenomena. Those who sow anger, revenge, bitterness, fury, pride, and hate would certainly reap God’s wrath, justice, and punishment. It is dangerous to do something without knowing the consequences. The Bible teaches that God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) It is dangerous to play with fire, certainly with God’s name and his glory.
Do I realize that God is not mocked, and He will protect His glory by executing judgment?
