God’s Word is known as Torah, which means God’s instruction and direction. David makes seven defining statements about the Law and its impact. (Psalm 19: 7-11) Blessed, stable, and steady like a fruit-bearing tree are those who meditate and live the Scripture. (Psalm 1:1-3)
Perfect: The bible does not give all knowledge of the world. The knowledge that gives is perfect and it pertains to life and godliness. (II Peter 1:3) The Word of God revives and restores a person, by offering forgiveness and reconciliation with God.
Sure: God’s Word is sure, reliable, certain, and consistent. His Word is settled eternally in heaven. (Psalms 119:89) It is the rock on which a wise man could build his house. (Matthew 7:24-27) Simple and stupid people become wise by studying His Word.
Right: God’s Word is morally, practically, and universally right. They are right because it is the revelation of the Holy God. Right means to be straight, smooth, and right in contrast to a twisted or crooked mind and conduct. God’s Word gives joy to those who read, receive truth, and relationship with God.
Pure: God’s Word is pure, holy, and true, and that enlightens the readers. It does not lead a person to sin, as it is not twisted. (II Peter 3:16) Satan has blinded the eyes, Lord opens the eyes. (II Corinthians 4:4) It brings cheer, comfort, and confidence in the world of spiritual darkness.
Clean: David calls the Word of God as Fear of the Lord as it is connected to His Greatness, Majesty, and Magnificence. Because it is the Word of Eternal Enduring God, the words are also eternal.
True: God is Truth, The Lord Jesus Christ is Truth, and His Word is truth. Therefore, people should read it, study it, love it, meditate on it, and live it.
Righteous: Holy God is righteous. He is the God of justice. To know God’s righteous expectations, requirements, and instructions, people should study the Bible. Then the people of God could go in the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake. (Psalms 23:3)
Do I rejoice in the Bible?
