Handling powerful people!

A Christmas program was organized by the Christian community, who were a minority. They invited a powerful politician to the event so that they could present their requests and demands to the government. The politician who was generally generous to the Christians made a sarcastic remark: “Do you think I am a Santa Claus to bestow gifts on you?” The whole Christian community was shocked. Later, one of the core leaders explained, how foolish it is to approach politically powerful people with a ‘minority complex.’ Christians are given authority to bless, counsel, and guide politicians, and not just to beg favor from them.
Jacob and Pharoah: Egypt was the most powerful nation at that time in history. Joseph was appointed Prime Minister to govern the nation and manage the famine. Jacob and his whole family came to Egypt as invited by Joseph. Pharoah made an appointment to meet Jacob. Rustic Jacob had spiritual maturity and a sense of calling that he blessed Pharoah. (Genesis 47:7-12) Bestow blessings, don’t solicit benefits.
Joseph and Pharaoh: Homesick had the intention to plead to be sent home from Egypt. He shared this agony with the chef, to whom he interpreted his dream of restoration to be back in Pharaoh’s presence. Yet, he forgot. When Joseph was remembered and summoned to interpret the dream. Pharoah asked for a favour, before Joseph could ask, and appointed him as the Prime Minister (Administrator of Egypt). (Genesis 40:14,15,23; 41:37-45)
Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch: God guided Philip to reach the Ethiopian eunuch, who was traveling back from Jerusalem to his home. He was reading from the book of Isaiah but could not know the truth. Philip explained that Isaiah was referring to the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. When the eunuch saw water, wanted to be baptized and Philip baptized him. Nevertheless, the Spirit of God took away Philip. Probably, the reason was, that God did not want Philip to express his request for a grant for the ministry of Widows in Jerusalem or new projects in Samaria.
Do I utilize the wisdom given to educate worldly leaders?
