Most people know the sinking of the Titanic, which struck an iceberg. Now, there are ice-breaker ships that could break the icebergs, paving the way for larger cargo ships. The specialty of such ships is: Extra strong engines, a strengthened hull, and a unique shape. Essentially, it is like an escort ship that goes ahead to create a path that is perfect for cargo ships to follow for global trade. God’s promise is: “I will go before you and make the crooked paths straight.” (Isaiah 45:2)
Dividing the Red Sea: When the Israelites were delivered from Egypt, they were on the banks of the Red Sea, with no way of escape. The Egyptians, with 600 chariots, were in hot pursuit behind them. When there was no way, God divided the Red Sea and created a path for them to cross. Later, the Egyptians traded the same path, but were drowned and dead. (Exodus 14:21-29)
Promise: God has promised to make paths through the sea and mighty waters, as well as wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:16-19) There could be obstacles like icebergs or rocks underwater. However, God makes a path through them to take His people to their destinations.
Straight Paths: Going through crooked paths could be treacherous and dangerous. In life, which is a journey, the ways are not always straight. Nevertheless, for those who trust in Him, the Lord makes the way straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
The Way of Resurrection: When the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary, buried in the tomb of Joseph Arimathea, there was certainly rejoicing among the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, and the misled mob. In Hell, too, Satan must have celebrated his victory of instigating humans against the Son of God. God surprised all by resurrecting the Lord, who lives forevermore. There is Only One Way for salvation that was attested by the Resurrection of the Lord.
Principle of resurrection: God demonstrated that He could bring anything dead back to life. God’s promise of making way amid situations that are dead is an amazing gift.
Do I trust God to make perfect ways?
