Lead into the future

There is a book written by Johnson and Suskewicz: “Lead from the Future.” It is about the principles and paradigm for leaders to plan long-term, changing challenges to growth opportunities, vision, and step-to-step process to lead an organization into enormous future growth. However, God has called His disciples not to Lead from the future but lead into the eternal future with Him forever.
Eternal perspective: Christians live in this world as citizens of heaven. They are indeed seated in heavenly places and, hence, have a divine perspective. (Ephesians 2:6) When seen from high altitude the perspective is different.
Eternal expectation: Having confidence about the Eternal Life, they store up treasures in heaven. They know that where the treasures are their hearts would be. (Matthew 6:19-21)
Eternal friends: The Lord Jesus Christ taught the disciples to use worldly riches to earn eternal friends. (Luke 16:9) Connections and networking are good in the professional world and social life. However, these skills should be used to gain eternal friends in heaven.
Eternal dwelling: Owning houses on the beachfront, mountain resorts, and islands are aspirations of rich leaders in the world. Disciples are not worried about homelessness, for the Lord has given a Promise. He has gone to prepare a place in the mansions in Heaven. (John 14:1)
Eternal reward: The remuneration and rewards in the world will perish. Paul aspires to an eternal and imperishable crown of glory. (I Corinthians 9:5) Unlike in the world, where people’s services are forgotten and not rewarded; The Righteous God does not forget the labor of His faithful servants. (Hebrews 6:10)
Eternal choices: Mary chose to sit at the feet of the Lord, while Martha was busy and upset with the daily chores and preparing for the visiting guests. Lord commended Mary for her choice which is eternal and will not be taken away from her. (Luke 10:42)
Eternal consequences: Those who are not concerned about life after death will perish, the second death in hell, for rejecting the Lord. (John 3:16)
Do I have an eternal perspective, purpose, and plan for my life?
