Loitering bombs

In modern warfare, there is a new technology that could make the bombs float in the air (loiter or linger) for a few seconds, to make sure the target is right and hit decisively. It could be automatically set or controlled by a human in the control room. Paul exhorted believers not to be outwitted by Satan. They should discern Satan’s strategies and pre-empt his attacks. (II Corinthians 2:11)
Sin loitering: God warned Cain that sin is loitering or lingering at the door. (Genesis 4:7) If Cain was not careful, he would be overcome by sin. Sadly, Cain did not listen to the warning; he failed to resist sin. He became the first murderer in the history of humanity.
Joseph: Satan used Potiphar’s wife as his instrument of unrighteousness. She was waiting for the right moment to seduce him. (Genesis 39:7-12) When she found him alone, she tried to compel him to have sex with him. Joseph ran away, leaving his robe to save himself from the sin of adultery.
David: As a warrior king, David should have been in the war field leading the battle. He outsourced his work to Joab, an able military commander. Without any purpose, he was roaming on the terrace, and fell to temptation, the loitering bomb of Satan. (II Samuel 11)
Achan: The whole city of Jericho was devoted to destruction. Joshua had warned that no spoil should be taken. Yet, Achan was attracted to the beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a gold bar weighing fifty shekels. As he brooded over this wealth in his mind, a loitering bomb of Satan hit him, and he disobeyed God’s commandment. (Joshua 7:21)
Lot’s wife: The angels commanded Lot, his wife, and two daughters to flee before judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah. In fact, they were all seized by hand and pulled out of the city. (Genesis 19: 16) However, she was unwilling to leave the city. (Genesis 19:26) She was struck by the loitering bomb of Satan as she was stubborn in her rebellion against God.
Am I careful about Satan’s tactics and resisting him?
