Mirror and the Blind

One person was self-conscious about his appearance and grooming. He had several mirrors in his home to check all aspects of his appearance before he ventured out. As he grew older, his eyesight started diminishing. Though he consulted ophthalmologists, his eyesight did not improve. Yet, his habit of standing before a mirror was stressful for his eyes, but he continued the habit. Sadly, he lost his eyesight completely. Yet, he would stand before mirrors, imagine as if he were seeing, and try to dress himself. Often, it resulted in him appearing like a comical figure. The mirror was the same, but his eyes were blinded.
The Bible
Apostle James compares the Bible to a mirror. (James 1:23) Those who look into the mirror would certainly know the sinfulness and be able to repent from their sins.
CT scan and MRI
Certainly, Apostle James would have referred to the Scripture like that of a CT scan and an MRI. Mirror deals with external appearance, but modern equipment provides detailed internal damage or infections in the body. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Blindness
Satan has blinded the minds of all people so that they are alienated from God and perish. (II Corinthians 4:4) When a sinner listens to the gospel, the Spirit of God stirs the heart to respond to the message. Thus, the eyes are opened, and one could walk in the marvellous light. It is essential to keep the eyes clean so that the vision is sharp.
Negligence
By negligence, a person could again become blind. Instead of having a daily discipline of reading (listening) and meditating on the Word of God, they get distracted by other daily routines or novelties that lead them astray. Instead of walking in the counsel of the Bible, they walk in the counsel of Google, take a stand based on YouTube, and sit in wicked online communities.
Do I diligently and delightfully meditate on the Bible every day?
