Quest for eternal

An advertisement for Platinum says: Pure, Precious, Rare, and Eternal. The metal could be pure after purification processes. It is precious, as people wish to buy it for both ornamental and investment purposes. Of course, it is rare, as it is found in tiny quantities in some remote places on Earth. Nevertheless, platinum cannot be eternal. Apostle Peter warns: The world would be burnt up, which includes all materials; there is no exception for platinum and works. (II Peter 3:10)
Quest and superstitions: There is a universal quest to live forever. Many superstitions and rituals are practised to lengthen the years of life on earth. Some people think that possessing a good amount of fortune, that is, rare or precious materials like gold, diamonds, or platinum, would give them a long life.
Flood: God judged all the inhabitants of Earth. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5) God spared Noah, his wife, three sons, and their wives. There is enough water on the Planet to drown the whole world, but God will not use the same method for the second time, but fire.
Fire: God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) Fire is used to give light, in sacrifices, to cook, refining precious materials, as well as to destroy. God uses fire as an instrument of judgment. Nadab and Abihu presented strange fire on the altar and were devoured by fire. (Leviticus 10:1-2) Fire consumed the sacrifice which Elijah offered to prove that Jehovah was the only True God. (I Kings 18:38)
Eternity: St. Peter writes that all will perish. It includes the precious possessions of people who invested in gold, silver, diamonds, platinum, etc. The only way to enjoy eternity in God’s presence, where all these precious metals would be used as road material, walls and gates, is to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord in faith.
Do I have a rich faith that leads to Eternal Life in Heaven?
