In one church, it is written: “Do not leave your mobile phones, purses, wallets, handbags unattended – others may think it an answer to their prayers.” Yes, some can misunderstand God, His attributes, and His righteousness. David writes: “He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalms 23:3)
Holy God: God is Holy, and He expects his people to live a holy life. To help humans lead a righteous life, He has given the Ten Commandments, other rules, and regulations that are practical applications of the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 20:1-17) Holy God will not compromise with sin. God’s methods are holy and per His Law.
Steal? Robbing or stealing from others means owning something that does not belong to that person. When something is found abandoned, it should be returned to the owner, if not to the government or public officials, who could find and give it. Taking possession which does not lawfully belong by violence or threat, or false promises, lies, cheating, falsifying records, manipulating evidence, are all violations of God’s Commandments.
Righteous God: God answers prayers according to his justice and righteousness. God does not answer prayers by wrong methods. Provision by stealing or robbing, or looting, is a sin. It is not God’s method to give opportunity for a person to steal to fulfill his need or want, or greed. God’s paths are righteousness. He leads His children in those holy paths, for His Holy Name’s sake.
Presumption or Will of God: It is foolishness to think; God answers our prayers by breaking His Law. It is not faith, only presumption or blind faith. God’s will is pleasing, acceptable, and perfect. (Romans 12:2) When God’s plan pleases God, it would please his disciples who love Him. God’s will is acceptable because it provides peace and contentment. God’s will is not stealing or doing something unrighteous, but waiting for His blessings, time, and willingness to forgo what is not in His plan. His plan, purpose, and will are always perfect for his disciples.
Do I presume or have spiritual discernment to know God’s will?
