Seven-fold promises

God spoke to the Children of Israel when they were slaves in Egypt. They groaned under the tyranny and oppression of Egyptians. God sent his messenger Moses and gave seven-fold promises. (Exodus 6:6-8) Like the Children of Israel, all of humanity is under the tyranny of Satan and his demons of darkness. The Gospel provides these promises to all humanity and those who come to him in faith can receive these blessings.
1) I will bring you out: All have sinned, come short of glory of God, bear the sentence of Second Death on them. (Romans 3:23; 6:23) Those who repent and accept Lord Jesus Christ are brought out of the slavery of Satan and are in the Kingdom of God. (Acts 26:16-18)
2) I will deliver you: After coming out of Egypt, Lord promised deliverance or protection from the slavery of Egypt. God’s children are protected and sealed by God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13)
3) I will redeem you: Lord will pay the cost of redemption. The Children of Israel could not redeem themselves by paying a ransom or engineering a rebellion. Lord Jesus has redeemed his people through his blood. (Ephesians 1:7)
4) I will take you to be my people: They will not remain as slaves or wanderers or orphans but become people of God. Those who trust in Lord Jesus Christ are His children and people. (John 1:12; I Peter 2:10)
5) I will be your God: They will live under the Sovereign authority of God, not under Egyptian Pharaoh. Believers of Lord Jesus Christ live under His Lordship who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Revelation 19:16)
6) I will bring you into the land: God has promised Eternal Life in the eternal Promised Land of Heaven. The eternity of believers would be in the presence of God in Heaven, spent in worship and joy.
7) I will give it to you as a possession: God prepares a specific custom designed place for His disciples. (John 14:1)
