Simple becomes wise

A small group of teenagers studied the Book of James. When they completed it, one boy gave this testimony: “I was the most stupid boy in my class. My parents and teachers gave up on me. As I attended this bible study, I got faith and confidence to ask God for wisdom. Now, my teachers wonder: ‘How did you become wise?’ So do my parents.” (James 1:5) God’s Word can transform a simple person into a wise one. (Psalm 119:130-131)
Promise: God does not forget the simple. Godly wisdom, salvation, and knowledge of God’s will are not a product of intellect, but God’s gift. God gives to all without discrimination, for all those who believe Him and ask in faith. The world may brand someone as simple or simpleton, but God rejoices in giving them His heavenly wisdom.
Blessing: God has not left the simple out of his reckoning. All people, including the simple ones, could understand the gospel and receive salvation. There is no need to do penance, or express devotions by harming the body, or go on pilgrimage. Simple people with simple faith make simple prayer, and they receive great wisdom. Paul even says that God has chosen the simple ones to confound the wise of this world. (I Corinthians 1:27-28)
Opportunity: God gives an opportunity through His Word for all to become wise. The Bible is for all humanity, and the Church has endeavored to translate it into all the languages in the world. So that all humans have an opportunity to become wise by hearing, listening, reading, meditating, and applying in their lives.
Responsibility: No one could make an excuse that they are of an average or lower intellect or IQ, or mental powers. All have a responsibility to seek the Word, the Truth. The Bible could be understood even by a kid, and the gospel message by children. Hence, Ignorance of the truth is no excuse. (Romans 1:20) The Bereans were noble because they read and meditated on the Scripture. (Acts 17:11)
Have I become wise by meditating on the Bible daily?
