Stinking and crazy

Brazilian model and beauty influencer Débora Peixoto has gone viral after making a stinking face mask where she uses her own poop and well, water. In the video, she pulls a small container from her fridge that appears to contain some fecal matter. She then uses a small amount of water to soften the stool and applies it all over her face with her bare hands, even sticking a peg over her nose for obvious reasons. In the caption of the video, Peixoto claims that this mixture does wonders to slow aging in the skin. (NDTV 14 August 2024)
Purity and Hygiene: God is concerned about hygiene. The camp of Israel was well-designed, orderly, pure, and hygienic. Moses Law gives rules and regulations for daily life. People had to go outside the camp, use a trowel, dig a deep pit, and close with sand to cover the excrement. (Deuteronomy 23:12-14)
Punishment: God rebuked Israel as they stayed away from faith. “Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it.” (Malachi 2:3) It was punishment that would make Israelite impure and have to go outside the camp.
Pollution: God commanded Ezekiel to enact the exile of the Jewish nation. In that, he had to eat food, cooked with human excrement. That would symbolize how the Israelites would eat defiled food in a foreign land. Ezekiel pleaded with God to change, and God allowed him to use cow dung as fuel. (Ezekiel 4:9-15)
Petty popularity: Social media influencers like to do petty gimmicks that are harmful to health, could create a public nuisance, and demoralize young people. Such egoistic people put their and others’ lives at risk.
Pots of treasure: Paul writes that humans are like clay jars holding the precious soul. (II Corinthians 4:7-10) The body is also the Temple of the Holy Spirit and, hence should be cared well for. (I Corinthians 6:19-20) Disciples should glorify God through their bodies.
Do I care for my body as the Temple of the Holy Spirit?
