The Greatest Gift

For many people Christmas is a time for gifts: both to give and receive.
The Greatest Risk: When God created the world and the first couple, he took an enormous potential risk. The risk was giving Adam and Eve Free Will to make choices. Unfortunately, the first couple used the Free Will to defy, disobey, and rebel against God. (Genesis 3)
The Greatest Fall: Like Humpy Dumpty (egg), the Fall made irreparable, disastrous damage. The nursery poem states, ‘all the king’s horses and his men cannot put Humpty-Dumpty together again. None of the best resources, expertise, professionals, power, and tools can ever remake the fallen, broken, and shattered Humpy Dumpty.
Greatest Grace: In the context of the hopelessness of humanity, God’s Greatest Grace was manifest. Sinners cannot save themselves, and no one else can atone for them. Hence, God sent his only begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ, into the world as the Saviour who would bring out the miracle of the New Creation through His death, burial, and resurrection. (John 3:16)
The greatest gift: The Lord Jesus Christ is the indescribable, excellent, and greatest gift to humanity. God has given to humanity through the Lord Jesus Christ his forgiveness of sins. This marvellous gift is available to all human beings. Amazingly, this task of sharing this good news is given to simple humans who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not the privilege of even the angels.
The Greatest Message: The Church exists for missions. Each disciple lives to make disciples. The Church has been ordained and consecrated to proclaim, propagate, and preach the Good News in the history of humanity. Even if one sinner repents, there is a great celebration in heaven. (Luke 15:10)
The Greatest Call: Today, the Church is giving out the Greatest Call to all humans for people to repent, come from darkness to light, be delivered from the slavery of Satan to God’s Kingdom, and give the message of forgiveness of sins. (Acts 17:30-31) Each reader should be motivated, encouraged, and excited to become an ardent and disciplined disciple-maker for the Lord.
