The Lord Bless You Out of Zion

Mount Olives, Zion, and Jerusalem are familiar names for a Jew as well as a Christian. Jerusalem is God’s chosen city. Mount Zion is part of the city, sometimes used to refer to the whole city. The Lord blesses you out of Zion is a part of a song that is sung during a pilgrimage to Jerusalem by the followers of Judaism. (Psalms 128:5) Truly, believers are blessed from Zion.
Teaching: The Lord Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry consisted of preaching and teaching. It happened in the city of Jerusalem. Hence, by reading and meditating on the gospel, a person is blessed out of Zion.
Death: The Son of God, was sent to this world by Father to bear the sin of humanity, die on the cross of Calvary, buried, and rose again. The Great sacrifice by the Lamb of God, is another blessing out of Zion.
Empty Tomb: The Lord was buried in the Garden Tomb, but rose again from the dead. The Empty Tomb declares the risen Savior. The resurrection is indeed a blessing out of Zion.
Ascension: The Lord appeared to various disciples at various places for forty days after resurrection. While He was being watched by the disciples, He was taken up to heaven disappearing into the clouds. (Acts 1:9-11) The Lord is seated on the Right Hand of the Father interceding for His children. (Hebrews 1:3-4; Romans 8:34)
Day of Pentecost: After ascension, the disciples tarried in Jerusalem. As they waited in the Upper Room, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured upon them. (Acts 2)
Birth of Church: The one hundred and twenty who were gathered were filled with the Holy Spirit that they spoke in tongues. People who spoke different languages were able to hear about the glory of God in their own languages. The first church was born in Jerusalem, it spread throughout the world. The blessing has gone out of Zion to the ends of the earth.
Have I gratefully received the blessings of the Lord from Zion?
