They rejected Him!

Many people reject Him today, as did the Jewish nation.
His Birth: They did not approve of His origin and birth. (John 7:52) They could not perceive God’s plan that the Saviour should be born of a virgin. (Isaiah 7:14) Then only He could be a perfect Redeemer, one hundred percent Son of God and one hundred percent Son of Man.
Education: The religious leaders ridiculed the Lord Jesus Christ, as he was not educated under a Rabbi approved by the Sanhedrin. (John 7:52) When one chauffeur of a college professor shared the simple gospel, the professor rejected it, saying, ‘How dare you teach me, you illiterate! For the professor, knowledge and wisdom are acquired by education. God has chosen the foolish to confound the wise. (I Corinthians 1:27)
Rejected traditions: God did not follow all the traditions that had been in practice among the Jews. (Luke 6:2) Traditions of ancestors or elders are supposed to be sacred in many cultures. Some traditions are oppressive, unspiritual, and unedifying. Yet, they exalt traditions above humans and destroy their livelihoods, dreams, and hopes.
Friend of sinners: The Lord was accused of being inclusive of all people, including commoners, sinners, tax collectors, and prostitutes. (Matthew 9:11) Most religions reject commoners as not capable of spiritual pursuits. Sinners’ ought to be killed by avatars, who rise time and again to establish righteousness in some religions. Tax collectors were considered traitors by the Jews as they were doing on behalf of the Roman government, which the Jews disliked and resented. Tax collectors were like foreigners and Gentiles to the Jews. Some reject Christ today as a foreigner from an alien nation and culture. The Jewish elders brought a woman caught in prostitution, but let go of the man. For them, as in many cultures, the fidelity law applies only to women.
Chosen by God: The stone rejected by the builders was ordained by God as the Cornerstone or Capstone. (Psalm 118:22) There is only one way for salvation through His name, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Have I rejected Him or accepted Him as the Cornerstone?
