Your sin will find you out

A young person aspired to become a medical professional. However, his marks were not enough to qualify him to study in a medical college. He falsified the mark sheet and got entry, completed his studies, and served as a doctor. After 44 years it was found that he had forged his certificate, he was arrested, charge-sheeted, and jailed. Found out: The Bible teaches that sin will find the culprit. (Numbers 32:23) Like a shadow, sin follows a person until the day of judgment. Carrying the burden of sin, guilt conscience, and fear of being caught makes a person weak and vulnerable. Strangely, some people think they will never be found. Probably, he thought after four decades, no one would know. Yet, the human government could track a criminal after 44 years, and God’s government would surely bring to open all wicked deeds.

Sow and Reap: God is not mocked; His Laws are just and his justice system extends to even eternity. What a man sows, he will reap, there is no excuse or another option. (Galatians 6:7-8) A man cannot sow wickedness and reap righteousness.

Sin and consequences: Sin has also consequences in any context. It will affect the individual, immediate family, community, and the nation. The individual boy was in constant fear of being found out. With a forged certificate he studied medicine and there is no guarantee he was honest. He could have got his degree again by fraud. His family members would be put to shame. The patients he treated, were the right diagnoses? Many people will suspect every genuine doctor!

Sin and judgment: Those who have sinned without law will perish without law and those who have sinned under the law will be judged by law. (Luke 6:37)

Forgiveness of sins: One who realizes his/her sin, repents from the wicked ways, is determined to forsake the path of evil, believes Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross of calvary, buried and rose again for salvation, would be granted forgiveness.

Do I realize, repent, and receive His gracious forgiveness?
