Choosing death?

A lone penguin going away from its colony, heading towards the mountains about 70 km inland, has taken the Digital social media by storm in 2026. It has been named as ‘Nihilist Penguin.’ However, the footage is from a 2007 documentary. Some people commented that it is walking away from others, problems, expectations, and has completed the life cycle. Others wrote that it was rebellion, a sense of lostness, and emotional exhaustion. Scientists say it was either mentally unstable, confused instincts, or disoriented, and did not know the direction. (The Economic Times, 24 January 2026)
Nihilism: It is a philosophy that rejects fundamental aspects of human existence, truth, knowledge, morality, values, and the meaning of life. Hence, these people believe that life will become nothing, the world, and everything seen. God created everything out of nothing; everything visible from that was invisible. (Hebrews 11:3) Philosophers who do not have the power to create can only destroy. Which is easier? Create everything out of nothing, or speculate that all things will become nothing? Without the power to create, their wish would destroy all, including the faith of disciples.
Satanic inspiration: Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy, so do the philosophers of Nihilism and religions that preach nihilism. (John 10:10) The desire is to kill the soul or inner person, for which Satan has no authority. Satan can kill physically, but cannot destroy the soul. Hence, a person has to stand in judgment before God and will inherit heaven or hell for eternity. Satan indulges in stealing the Word of God before it sinks into the minds of the people. (Matthew 13:4) He blinds the minds of the people, preventing them from knowing the truth. (II Corinthians 4:4) By doing so, Satan destroys the eternal future of people; they perish in the Lake of Fire.
Sheep without a shepherd: The Lord compared the disoriented masses to the sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9: 36) David praises His personal Shepherd. (Psalm 23) Without Jesus the Good Shepherd, all humans would be like the lonely penguin going astray to perish.
Have I chosen the Good Shepherd, the giver of eternal life?
