At the Davos World Economic Forum 2026, one leader said that the nations have arrived at a world without rules. He also said that the law never existed, but most nations pretended it existed, though it was a myth. In other words, is the world in chaos? Paul warns that the ‘man of lawlessness’ will emerge during the End Times. (II Thessalonians 2:3-12) The man of lawlessness obviously refers to the antichrist, who would be an individual. At the same time, Apostle John warns that the spirit of antichrist is already at work. (I John 2:18,22)
Deeds of antichrist: The spirit of antichrist could be defined as against the law, rebellious, and stubborn. The ultimate manifestation of Satan through a person, who is termed as a man of Lawlessness, points towards the antichrist.
Man of lawlessness: He is a man, not an angel or extra-territorial alien or robot or Artificial Intelligence. He would be a man, like any other normal human. Possessed by Satan, he is the essence and expression of all wickedness and evil.
Traits: This person could be identified by certain traits that are revealed in the Bible. By his fruits, a person could be known. (Matthew 7:16) First, he considers himself above the law. Laws are for mortals or lesser mortals, but not for him. Hence, there is no need to obey any law and imagine that he operates in a sphere where laws are applicable. Second, the person considers himself worthy of worship, adoration, and homage. Worship of all creatures and creation belongs to the creator God. But Lucifer desired worship. He was cast out of heaven. Yet his desire for worship persists. Third, he proclaims himself as God. He wants to exalt his throne above the heavens, above God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Four, his method is initially deception, smooth talk, and peace, rather than violence and threat. However, he desires to kill, steal and destroy, hence eventually he will release the fury of hell over all humanity. (John 10:10)
Do I discern the spirit of antichrist and lead a holy life anticipating His coming?
