The Bible is God’s book of revelation, gifted to humanity. It is not dead literature but a spiritual book that brings conviction, transformation, and blessing to those who read with an open mind and heart. For some, it is just a compilation of miscellaneous literature like stories, history, myth, proverbs, songs, teaching, and parables. They are sadly mistaken and are deceived.
Eternal life: The Bible gives us eternal life. (I Peter 1:23) The Word of God helps a reader to know about God, His expectations, His requirements, his own sinfulness, shame and guilt, and God’s provision for redemption. When the Word is received in faith, a person receives Eternal Life, that he would live with the Lord forever in Heaven, or else perish forever in the Lake of Fire.
Cleanses: The Bible spiritually cleanses believers. (Ephesians 5:26) As long as a believer lives on the earth, has to consistently face temptation, an imperfect environment, and a spiritual battle against Satan, his demons and his human instruments. As a polluted environment causes a layer of dust over articles, the spiritually polluted world spreads a layer of filthiness on believers. Only the Word of God cleanses a person.
Power to victory: The Bible provides power against demonic spirits. (Ephesians 6:17) The Lord promised that believers would be more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37) Christians need not be victims or defeated, but be overcomers and victorious.
Healing: The word provides spiritual power to heal the body, soul and spirit. (Matthew 8:16; Psalm 107:20) God sends His Word to those who are physically sick, mentally tired, emotionally troubled, and afflicted with low self-esteem.
Spiritual strength: The Bible gives spiritual strength and stamina. (Psalm 119:28) The spiritual strength is increasing the faith that comes by hearing the Word. (Romans 10:17)
Equips for good work: The Bible provides spiritual resources, motivation, inspiration, wisdom, discernment, and conviction to do every good work. (II Timothy 3:17) Noble Works, delivers those in bondage, sets free slaves of sin and Satan, and transforms sinners to saints.
