Fake shame

One top politician’s grandson was a psycho that he kidnapped, harassed, molested, raped, and blackmailed numerous women. He also video graphed all these, to make his victims ashamed and be under his tyranny. Somehow, the videos became viral on social media. Cunningly, he escaped the country using his political influence and connections. The patriarch Politian blamed the person who leaked the video and demanded he be arrested for defaming his family. For the politician his family prestige, reputation, and honor were more important than the pathetic condition of the hapless victims. His shame was not for being the grandfather of the worst criminal but for his hurt pride. In the Honour and Shame culture, there is no truth or righteousness. Whatever brings honor, glory, and riches is good, even if it is an evil and unrighteous act. When they fall in the eyes of others, it is a shame, it should have been carefully avoided and veiled. They were not ashamed and did not even know how to blush. (Jeremiah 6:15)
Consequences of sin:
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit, there were immediate consequences. (Genesis 3:6-7) First, they were ashamed and felt naked. They lost the glory of God and were deprived of dignity. Second, they were afraid. They did not dare to meet God, as usual during the evening time. Third, they were guilty and knew that they would face judgement for their action.
Blame the other
In this incident, the politician wanted to punish the person who exposed their sins. There are three kinds of blaming. First, blaming other people. Adam blamed Eve and God who gave Eve. Then Eve blamed the Serpent. Second, people blame the context, situation, or environment. Joseph wisely ran away from the situation. Third, blaming the victim. Perhaps, David justified the crime that he committed against Bathsheba for many months. He could have blamed her for inviting a misdeed by taking a bath openly.
Confess and Prosper
Only those who confess, and renounce would prosper. (Proverbs 28:13)
Do I repent, confess, and renounce to prosper?
