Flee or embrace sin?

Hana Horka, a folk singer from Czech refused to take vaccination. When her husband and son (both vaccinated) got an infection of Covid 19, she voluntarily exposed herself. She believed that infection would give her immune boost and also, she wanted to travel to visit bars and restaurants. Only those who were vaccinated and healed of corona would be admitted in many public places. Sadly, she died because of an infection on 16 January 2022. (NDTV news 20 January 2022)
1) Danger: It is wise to flee from both physical or spiritual dangers. Instead of protecting herself, she exposed herself willingly to danger of getting an infection. It is wise to run away from places where temptation could be dangerous. Joseph was wise to flee from the presence of the wife of Potiphar. (Genesis 39:12) Paul advises young Timothy. “So, flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” (II Timothy 2:22)
2) Death: Diseases could lead to death. There are some diseases that could attack fast and kill a person. Covid 19 has killed millions around the world. However, Hana thought death would not overtake her. Hence, she willingly invited the disease to invade her. Miserably she died, as she expressed her dream of visiting the seashore forty-eight hours before her death. The Bible teaches that the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Those who do not realise the soul-disease of death, or wilfully indulge in sin, will face eternal death, i.e., eternal separation from God.
3) Defy death by wrong belief? Hana had a superstitious or even genuine faith that disease or death would not invade her. She was totally wrong. Her wrong belief did neither allow her to take vaccination, nor keep away from potential infection. Faith based on the Truth, Lord Jesus Christ is the right faith. Imaginations, speculations, deductions, inferences, rhetoric or philosophies cannot replace faith. Wrong belief leads to wrong behaviour.

Fear of God gives wisdom to flee from dangers of sin and death.
