In many cities around the world traffic jams and traffic crawls. To beat these hindrances, the city administration plans to build freeways. The intention is to reach the destination without many hindrances and obstacles. The Bible states: that the path of the upright is a level highway. (Proverbs 15:19) Tragically, many believe that all ways lead to the same destination, which is illogical and impossible.
Highway of repentance: Those who wish to lead a righteous life or upright life shun evil. For that, they choose to repent from sinful ways to follow the truth. (Proverbs 16:17) Sadly, ungodly people ridicule the way of repentance as humiliation, and demeaning.
Highway of salvation: The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way of Salvation. (John 14:6) Sinners who repent, and exercise faith in the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ are on the level highway of salvation. Those who are not humble, cannot accept that they are sinners. Hence, along with others who choose ways that are good in their eyes, end up in death and destruction. (Proverbs 14:12) Some choose ways of death by futile thinking, others by traditions, and others by following the trends.
Highway of holiness: God is Holy. Those who choose to follow Him, walk in the highway of holiness. (Isaiah 35:8) As one who has called His people is Holy, they should also be Holy. (I Peter 1:15-16) The Holy God ought to be worshipped in the splendor of Holiness. (Psalm 96:9)
Highway of truth: There are many by-lanes of falsehood, dead-end roads of myths, and legendary roads that fall over the cliff. There is only one Highway of the Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ. The truth is not relative or abstract, but absolute.
Highway to Heaven: The Lord Jesus Christ came from Heaven, indwelt among humans. He promised to take us to Heaven as He only knows the Way. It is not multiple rebirths that take a person to heaven, not the good auspicious works that lead to heaven, but faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
