One religious leader belonging to a New Age Movement wrote: “Jesus said, there are many mansions in His Father’s House. (John 14:2) One is for me. The mansions are for all humanity, whatever religion they follow or are atheists or agnostics.”
False interpretation: According to such philosophers, God is love, and He cannot create hell. It is an erroneous interpretation of the Bible. Because God is love and is equally Holy, Holy God can’t tolerate, accommodate, or compromise with sin. Those who are unclean (not cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ), detestable, and false, and whose names are not found in the Book of the Lamb, cannot enter there. (I John 1:7; Revelation 21:27)
The Father’s House: This refers to God’s dwelling place, which is Heaven. It is not a physical or geographical place on earth. God is preparing the New Jerusalem for His saints to live there forever. (Revelation 21:1-4)
Many mansions: God is preparing unique dwelling places or rooms for each of His saints. None will be homeless. God designs the dwelling unit and will bring the highest satisfaction for those who dwell in it. It will be a dwelling of great joy, gladness, fullness, shouts of victory, and thankful worship. (Psalm 118:15)
Criteria and eligibility: Like all dwelling places of emperors and kings, it would be well secured. There is only a single-entry point, and it is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the gate. The Lord also said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 10:9; 14:6)
Filthy rags: All understanding, perceptions, and assumptions of humans as good, holy, pure, right, legal, spiritual, beneficial, and religious are like filthy rags or a menstrual cloth. (Isaiah 64:6) Even a beautiful embroidered robe of a religious leader is detestable to God.
Garment of salvation: For those who receive the Lord Jesus Christ will be clothed with a garment of salvation and a garment of praise. (Isaiah 61:3, 10) Only those are eligible to enter the gates of Heaven.
