A dozen people were recruited to gather a mob, attack a family doing ministry, and demolish the church building. That night, unruly people, including some of the relatives of the pastor, came and started attacking the family, who ran for safety inside the jungle. Then they burnt the vehicles and demolished the church building. In the process, a few were hurt and later died of injuries from being hit by debris. The police sealed the area. The faithful family with a three-year-old boy had to go without food and water for three days. After a decade, eleven people who were not even forty years old were dead, and one became mentally unstable. Sadly, those indulged in hooliganism are still living in darkness and despair. The Church has been rebuilt to accommodate more people and serves several villages, and has a dozen branch churches. Many from the mob repented, received the Lord Jesus Christ, and became part of these churches.
Prophecy of God: The gates of hell can never prevail against the church. Satan’s fury, attack, and his wicked display of violence can never destroy or demolish the Church. The Son of God builds the church, and who can survive trying to destroy His Church? (Matthew 16:18)
Promise of God: God spoke through Moses to the children of Israel on the banks of the Red Sea, fearing the attack of the Egyptian Pharaoh and his army rushing on chariots. The Lord said: The Egyptians whom you see today, you will see them no more forever. (Exodus 14:13) Even if a search is made for the persecutors of the church, they may not be found.
Judgement of God: The religious leaders of Israel rejected the Messiah, the cornerstone. Even today, people reject the Lord Jesus Christ for flimsy reasons like culture, foreigner, nationalism, racial pride, traditions, rituals, and ancestral path. The Lord Jesus Christ, the rock of salvation, said: “And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.” (Matthew 21:44)
Am I afraid of the persecutors of the church?
