The Taj Mahal is considered a monument of love. As one of the seven wonders of the world, all people around the world wish to visit that at least once. The building is beautiful and is an architecture of splendor. Only a few people realize that this is just a tomb, that does not give hope to the visitors. Perhaps, some men could be inspired to love their wives as Shah Jahan loved Mumtaj.
Empty Tomb: The real tomb of love is the Empty Tomb in Jerusalem. That was where the Son of God who died for the sins of humanity was laid to rest. Since Adam and Eve sinned, the whole humanity bore the nature and consequences of sin. There is no remission or forgiveness of sins without shedding of blood. The blood of animals and even sinful humans is inadequate to atone for sin. (Hebrew 9:22) Hence, it was essential for the Son of God to become human. He was born in Bethlehem, grew up in Nazareth, ministered in Jerusalem, Galilee, Judea, and Samaria, was crucified outside the city of Jerusalem, buried in a Garden tomb, and rose again on the third day. Peter writes that the Lord Jesus bore the sins of humanity. (I Peter 2:24)
Promise of salvation: All humans have sinned and lost their glory. The Wages of sin is death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23) The Son of God took the wages of sin, the death upon Himself to give life to humans. By His resurrection, the Lord proclaimed his divinity and authority to forgive sins. Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be cleansed of their sin, declared righteous, and receive the right to become a child of God, and added into His family. (John 1:12)
Eternal Mansion: Loved ones in this world could do their best to build memorials like the Taj Mahal. The Lord Jesus Christ gives Eternal Life and eternal Fellowship with God in an Eternal dwelling in the Mansions of God, the Heaven. (John 14:1) Those who come to Him in faith will be rewarded.
Are my sins forgiven and have I received Eternal Life?
