Two kinds of courage

There are two kinds of courage. First, is the courage of the moment. For example, there is a fire in a building, and someone daringly goes in and brings out an old man. Or a man jumps into the water to bring a drowning baby from the water. The second is planned courage. This sees difficulties, risks, and dangers ahead, but steadfastly marches towards it. The Lord Jesus Christ was steadfastly focused or turned His face to go to Jerusalem to suffer, be crucified, die, bury, and rise again. (Luke 9:51)
Hardened His face: Isaiah prophesied about the Great Servant who steadfastly set His face – like a flint. (Isaiah 50:7) It is not like a hard or angry man. But having a sense of focus, without being distracted during those difficult times.
Tested and Tempted: The Lord Jesus had to focus, steadfastly moving away from all distractions and attractions. First, He rejected the world and its riches. Satan gave an alternative of just bowing down before him. (Matthew 4; 9) Second, He rejected the persuasions, advice, and suggestions of His friends, the disciples. Peter did not want the Lord to suffer, and die. (Matthew 16:31) Third, for whom He is going to suffer, and die were not worthy of such love. Humans are always ungrateful. The Nation of Israel was not grateful but would crucify Him. Even if a man came back from death and gave testimony, they would not believe in him. (Luke 16:31) Fourth, He could back out, if He chooses to do so. He willingly and voluntarily laid His life; it was not snatched away from Him. (John 10:18) Five, the taunts, ridicule, and humiliation from His own creatures. The Sanhedrin, religious leaders, Roman officials, soldiers, mob, bystanders, and strangers. Six, He can call upon the Father to send angels – 72000 of them to protect Him, but will not do that. (Matthew 26:53) Seven, full stress of His body, emotions, and mind and the agony of the spirit. The burden of sin, and the consequences of sin and death was upon him.

Do I follow Him with a planned courage of steadfastness?
