Character building

Many organizations and institutions claim that they are investing in character building. One organization that spills and spreads hatred claims to be in the business of character-building, which results in nation-building. David describes the essence of character building as being in the right relationship with God. (Psalms 15)
Tabernacle and Hill: David desired to be the invited guest of God in the inner courts. It is not just to be a guest, but to abide or dwell or reside permanently. It is not just a shelter or asylum from enemies, but a bountiful provision and joyful fellowship. God met with Moses at the Tabernacle during the Exodus in the wilderness. (Exodus 25-31) David desired to be in the presence of God. The Tabernacle was moved to Jerusalem from Gibeon, and the Temple was built later by Solomon on Mount Moriah. (I Chronicles 16:39; 21:29; II Samuel 6:17; 24:18-21)
Walk: The most important thing is to walk upright. It means neither to walk in darkness nor the counsel of sinners. (I John 1:6; Psalm 1:1)
Words: Speaks the truth in his heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, words emerge. (Matthew 12:24) A whisperer or gossiper is a dishonest thief, a coward, and a mad dog. A thief comes to steal the good name and good reputation of a person. Gossipers do not dare to make statements in the presence of that person, against whom they make an allegation. It is always in his absence. Like a mad dog that bites for no reason, a gossiper damages and destroys a person. The person who promises does it, even when it hurts.
Work: Godly persons’ work is not evil. Such a person refuses to take advantage of others’ weaknesses or misfortune. (Deuteronomy 23:19) They refuse to take usury. The person does not take bribes to favor the unrighteous, evil doers.
Wrestle: A good man hates evil and opposes and resists evil. (Proverbs 8:13) He does not compromise, overlook, or keep silent.
With God’s people: He honors those who fear God, love them, and have fellowship with them.
