Heather Dewey-Hagborg is an information artist. Using the discarded items of people, such as hair, cigarettes, and chewing gum, she could extract DNA. From the DNA, she determines gender, ethnicity, and other factors, generates faces, and also creates portraits using a 3D printer. The series of portraits she made is known as Stranger Visions.
DNA – significance: Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the human body’s instruction manual. DNA uses an alphabet of four chemical bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), and Guanine (G). The codes for the formation of the alphabet are genes. The genes have the exact specifications and directions needed to build (height, color of eyes), grow and repair, protect, and operate the body. This is inherited 50 per cent from the father and another 50 per cent from the mother.
David’s Revelation: David had a prophetic insight, which is called DNA and genetics. (Psalm 139:13-16) God saw the unformed body, and all the days ordained are written in a book – the biological book of codes. God created the inmost being, weaving together a complex double-helix structure.
Death: Even after death, DNA could be recovered, retrieved, and details could be extracted from the person’s used articles. Many people are unaware of DNA, and think there would be no evidence for their lives. Everything ends with this life. The Bible teaches that there is life after death.
Image of God: All human individuals created in the image of God will live forever, even after physical death. All the dead will rise again for judgment. Nevertheless, God has given every individual to make a choice. God has not given humans multiple options, but just two. Life or death; blessing or curse; and narrow and broad gate. (Deuteronomy 30:19; Matthew 7:13-14) After death, there is judgment before the Judgment seat of the Creator, Sovereign, Most High God. “And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.” (Revelation 20:13)
