Ransomware

As the use of Information Technology increases, there are wicked people you use the technology to commit crimes. One of such crimes is using a malware known as Ransomware. This software can infiltrate any computer, prevent or limit the usage of their own system. The screen could be locked or files could be locked. Then a message would be sent demanding a ransom to be paid. Only when money is paid, then they will send the decryption key to unlock the system. The computer and all documents: Word files, photos, scanned documents, personal information, bank details…that are legally owned by a person are locked and taken hostage by an outsider. The intention is mostly to extort money. Satan also used Sin as ransomware to attack Adam and Eve owned by God to become cosmic orphans. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10: 10)
1) Blinded eyes: Satan promised that Adam and Eve’s eyes would be opened, instead he blinded them. (II Corinthians 4:4) Humans are unable to see the glory of God or perceive His attributes.
2) Instruments of unrighteousness: As ransomware creators use victim’s data for their own purposes, Satan uses sinners as his instruments of unrighteousness to spread lawlessness and unrighteousness. (Romans 6: 13)
3) Slaves: Satan reduced free Adam and Eve as slaves of sin and his slave. Paul writes that humans are dead, slaves and prisoners under the tyranny of Satan. (Ephesians 2:1-3)
4) Ransomed: However, God did not leave humans at that status. God because of His love, mercy and grace, sent His Son Lord Jesus Christ to save humanity. Lord Jesus Christ shed His blood for remission of sins, died, buried and rose again from the dead. (Hebrews 9:22) The believers are purchased with the price of the blood of Lord Jesus Christ, not with gold or silver or precious stones. (Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18)
5) Redeemed: Satan illegally possesses humans. When a person repents and receives Lord Jesus Christ, is again owned as precious redeemed people by God.
Do I rejoice for being ransomed and redeemed by our Lord?
