She was wounded and bound!

She was obsessed with playing tennis. Though she aspired to become a professional, she could not. Yet, she played tennis every day. One of her friends invited her to the weekly bible study. As she did not want to miss her tennis games, she refused. Her friend continued to invite her. One day, while playing she fell and broke both her knees. After undergoing surgery, she had to move around sitting in a wheelchair. Now she could not play what she loved to do. That time she thought she could go to bible study. There she came to know the Lord and became His disciple. The Bible says: “For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.” (Job 5:18)
God is love: God sometimes allows certain painful things but for a greater purpose. God loved this girl and wanted her to know His purpose in her life. God used a friend to invite her to the bible study. However, she was not willing to listen. Loving God had to discipline her to make Him known. The accident was the method God used. God empathized with her pain and suffering, yet He had to allow it.
Best way: Suffering, sickness, pain, and defeats are the methods God may use to gain the attention of those who refuse to listen. C.S. Lewis said: “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
Grace of God: The friend was there to take her to the bible study, though in a wheelchair. God demonstrated his love and grace, who was willing to sacrifice her time, energy, and comfort to make her friend in a wheelchair comfortable and took her to the bible study with her.
Word of God: Faith comes by hearing the Word. When she started studying the bible, participating in the discussion, and listening to the messages, light shined in her heart. God bound her wounds and embraced her into His Kingdom.
Do I trust His love in all difficult situations?
