Smiling Lord Jesus

One preacher was seriously saying that Lord Jesus Christ never laughed or smiled. And so, Christians were forbidden to laugh or even smile. Hearing this a ten-year-old girl stood up and said: “Pastor, you are wrong. Lord Jesus smiled.” The preacher was very much upset and raised his tone and voice said: “Where in the gospels or New Testament it is written?” The girl was not perturbed. “Pastor, how will children come to Lord Jesus if he did not smile at them?” The preacher was cornered, did not have an answer.
While the world is still debating about child rights for children, Lord Jesus taught the world that the children have spiritual rights and priority in God’s dealing. As the disciples of Lord Jesus did not understand this, even today, people of God do not understand this. Lord Jesus wants children to come to him, that too without any hindrance. Those who hinder them from coming to Him will be doomed. (Matthew 18:5) Lord blesses the children. Parents, teachers, and society to bring the children to Lord Jesus. “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.” (Matthew 19:14-15)
Individuals, families, institutions, communities and churches should facilitate children to come to Lord Jesus Christ. Sadly, we witness large number of child abuse; violence against kids in families, schools and children homes; children begging on street and marginalized even in church services.
Am I a facilitator for children coming to Lord Jesus Christ?
