There is a popular song of those who promote alternative lifestyle that is against the Bible with lyrics like this: We’re coming for your children. We will catch them subtly. It is indeed a wake-up call for the church to care, nurture, and teach the younger generation. Lord Jesus made the intentions of Satan clear: He comes to rob, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) Peter described him as a roaring lion, eager to swallow the hapless and ignorant victims. (I Peter 5:8) Paul exhorted believers not to be unaware of the conspiracy and strategies of Satan. (II Corinthians 2:11)
Robbing families: Satan always wants to snatch children from their parents. Communist and other totalitarian governments wanted to do that, no wonder this anti-moral brigade wants to do that.
Kill innocence: The forces that do not seek the welfare of children, want to kill their innocence by indoctrinating them through schools, textbooks, library books, mass media, social media…etc. Sadly, they are instigated by Satan.
Destroy society: When children are morally and spiritually destroyed, society will be like in the days of Noah and Lot. The cities were destroyed by fire while the world was destroyed by water. Today society is being destroyed by falsehood, hatred, lust, and pride.
Promises of God: Apostle John rightly writes: You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (I John 4:4) Christian parents are more than conquerors, who could defeat Satan and his wicked designs. (Romans 8:37)
Parental responsibility: God expected Abraham to teach his children and household. (Genesis 18:19) Moses commanded parents to impress their children with the Law of God; and have conversation with them when they sit, walk, lie down, and wake up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-8) Parents and the local church should help children treasure the Word of God in their hearts so that they do not fall into sin and be misled by Satan. (Psalms 119:11)
