Walk Through

Walk Through

Drive through restaurants are popular in several cities around the world.  A person need not get out of his/her car but drive and collect ‘take away’ meals.  Fast food could be received when you are on fast track and in a hurry.  This is a safe, protected environment created with commercial interests.

In contrast, bible Promises protection to His children about walk through difficulties, adverse situations, risky places, unchartered areas. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”  (Isaiah 43:2)

King David narrates his confidence in the Lord, described as Shepherd.  David could walk through the valley of shadow of death.  (Psalm 23:4) Walking through means having a brush with death.  Lord of life is with David; hence he can walk even when he was clouded by death blanket.  The same confidence David had when he said that he will run (walk faster) through a troop. (Psalm 18:29)

Peter had a sleepwalk through among the soldiers in prison as guided by an angel.  (Acts 12:13-19) Unafraid of imminent death, as James was beheaded and he could be the next, Peter slept.  (Acts 12:2) Lord had different plan for Peter.  He sent his angel and rescued him.

Lord Jesus Christ in the Synagogue of Nazareth.  He was rejected by the people and they wanted him to push him off the cliff.  “But passing through their midst, he went away.”  (Luke 4:30) Yes, when time came, he surrendered in the Garden of Gethsemane to fulfill His mission of giving his life for redemption of humanity.  After resurrection Lord Jesus passed through closed door. (John 20:19)

With Lord Jesus Christ there are no blocks or hindrances to stop them from accomplishing God’s will and bringing glory to Him.

Do I have faith to ‘walk-through’ all situations in life?
