Health, Healing, and Strength

David writes that God heals all our diseases. (Psalm 103:3) In the world, sickness, lack of stamina, chronic illness, injuries due to accidents, natural disasters, and death due to infection are common. The Bible teaches that there are seven ways God helps His people to handle sickness.
Food as medicine: God has promised to bless the bread and water and take away the sickness from among His people. (Exodus 23:25) God could bless the food believers eat so that it gives holistic health to the body, mind, and soul.
Immune system: God has gifted humans with marvellous and surprising functions of the body, which has eleven systems: Respiratory system, digestive system, Urinary system, Integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, Nervous system, Cardiovascular system, Lymphatic system, and reproductive system. God, in His wisdom, has given the human body an immune system that produces antibodies (disease-fighting proteins) to fight disease-causing bacteria and viruses and protect the body.
Medicine: God could use medicine and other medical interventions like surgery to bring healing and restoration. Hezekiah was healed by placing a cake of figs on his boil. (Isaiah 38:21) Paul prescribes wine for Timothy for frequent stomach ailments. (I Timothy 5:23)
Send word: God sends His word to heal and deliver His people. (Psalm 107:20) The Lord sent His word, and the servant of the Centurion was healed. (Matthew 8:5-13)
Miraculous intervention: God heals some people miraculously and instantly. Four friends brought a paralysed man to the Lord Jesus Christ, and He healed him. (Luke 5:17-26) The Ten Lepers were healed miraculously, though only one returned to thank the Lord. (Luke 17:11-19)
Prayer of saints: James writes that when believers are sick, they should invite the local church leaders to pray anointing with oil. (James 5:14) The sick believer should also confess his sins and be restored to right relationship with the Lord.
Sufficient Grace: Sometimes, God allows the ailment or sickness to continue, as in the life of Paul. He was given sufficient grace to endure and overcome that sickness. (I Corinthians 12:9)
