There was an interesting posting on WhatsApp: How can I tell the truth? Facebook blocks it; Twitter deletes it; Google hides it; YouTube bans it; Media censors it, Government forbids it. Ancient story: There was an emperor who had on one occasion a few sycophants gathered and discussed Brinjal (eggplant) and decided that it was

It is not just about good choices, but appropriate choices that would not hinder our spiritual life, ministry, and God-given purpose. The author of Hebrews exhorts disciples to lay aside every weight that could hinder progress. (Hebrews 11:2) Wrong priorities: Some disciples get their priorities wrong, and that halts are delaying their pilgrimage. The priority

In many malls and theatres, 3-D films are shown. Such movies give an illusion of three-dimensional solidity when the viewers wear special glasses. 3-D visuals are created by stitching together multiple 2D images or using multiple cameras. This technology is amazing, and children enjoy watching such short movies. However, in the Bible, Prophet Isaiah had

Resilience is the capacity to face crises boldly, mentally, and emotionally; then bounce back to the pre-crisis context immediately. Many people are defeated by mishaps, crises, sicknesses, criticism, or bereavement. They do not attain their full potential or pre-crisis status. Dr. Helen Roseveare worked as a medical missionary in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She was kept under arrest and suffered horrors including rape. “Through the long dark nights, she sensed the Lord saying, ‘These are not your sufferings. They’re Mine. There was some interesting news from Japan: Morimoto has what some would see as a dream job: he gets paid to do pretty much nothing. The 38-year-old Tokyo resident charges 10,000 yen ($71) an hour to accompany clients and simply exist as a companion. He rents himself and had handled 4000 assignments in the past

One visitor was shocked to see many chicks having spots and feathers falling. The poultry farmer simply said: “These chicks like to peck one another. Thus, they get injured and lose their feathers too. It is habitual on this farm.” Sometimes, local churches seem to be like this poultry farm. Harmony and peace are missing

In philosophical thinking, there are two schools of thought concerning the relationship with God. However, the Bible gives different imagery. Cat: One school defines grace with the imagery of a cat carrying a kitten with its mouth holding its neck. In this, the cat takes the initiative and holds it. Monkey: Another school of thought
