Inheritance, Treasure, and Rewards!

A man buried under the debris of a landslide that destroyed many homes cried out: “Somebody save me. I am a millionaire; I will give those millions.” Sadly, before he could be pulled out, his life perished. The wealth could not save him. It is good news, that God gives Inheritance that will not perish or defile or fade for His people, which includes eternal life. (I Peter 1:4) The Bible, in addition, teaches about the treasure and rewards.

God as inheritance: “And the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the people of Israel.” (Numbers 18:20) The self-existing, eternal, and holy God is the inheritance of the Levites and the Priests. Peter writes that we are kings and priests in Christ. (I Peter 2:9-12) Psalmist sings that the Lord is his portion and his inheritance are pleasant places. (Psalms 16:5-6) The Lord Jesus Christ promised to prepare a place in the many mansions of God in Heaven for each disciple. (John 14:1-3)
Treasures: The Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples to store up treasures in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-21) Investing in the Lord’s work, Kingdom work, and being generous to those who are the least, is storing treasure in heaven. In Heaven, robbers cannot rob, and natural deterioration will not happen. Temporal treasures could be transformed into heavenly treasures when used for Kingdom purposes. With earthly wealth, a believer could gain eternal friends, who would be with him in heaven. (Luke 16:9)
Rewards: God is faithful to reward His people. Even if they share a cup of water, they will not lose the reward. God is not unjust to forget the labor of the saints. All deeds of believers will be tested and that which endures the fire will be rewarded. (Matthew 10:42; Hebrews 6:10; I Corinthians 3:13-15) Crowns are one of the rewards the saints receive, and Paul was confident that one was waiting for him. (II Timothy 4:8)
Do I have eternal inheritance, treasure, and rewards?
